Dear Lass,

You are not your hair!

Someone once said, hair has a mind of its own and I totally agree with that.
Would you ever want to shave your hair to the extent that it isn’t even 1 cm long, Would you ever go bald or do you have what-ifs. If not you are just afraid of a girl or lady to be vulnerable.
Am I bald? No.Am I thinking of going bald?Yes. Therefore, I am going to share most of my reasons I find important and I hope, darling, that after this we will both shave our hair. Although I have a feeling you tsked at this.

• You are going to accept the fact that hair is dead cells and you are struggling to carry dead cells let alone increase its length by buying products to moisturize and condition it.

• Hair hides as well as reveals -It hides the form of our beautiful heads, pimples on our foreheads that shows that we are growing and that we are human. It also hides our identity at times as different hairstyles make us look different.

Yet again it reveals a lot: it reveals our backgrounds, our race, how we care or not care for our health, and most importantly what we consume. In that deficiency of the right nutrients including vitamins A, C, D and E, zinc, B vitamins, iron, biotin, protein, and essential fatty acids may slow down hair growth or even cause hair loss.

• It makes one feel powerful in a way for it radiates both courage and confidence — what you feel about yourself, your attitude, and your state of mind. Hair in a sense carries that with you. It makes you powerful and reflects that in that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.

• Shaving hair feels liberating.
The falling of hair and the weight going off one’s shoulders is an experience one would want to go through. It is like shedding your troubles away. I am not saying that anytime you feel burdened you should run to a barber, what I am saying that , being bald reveals a vulnerable part of you in that you feel that you are beginning an episode of life on a lighter note; that lowers your stress levels.

Finally, it is said that hair is knowledge, truth, and wisdom, but they also say if truth is beauty, how come no one has their hair done in the library.

With all being said, may our hair not tie us down as a sense of beauty but our kindness, a big heart, our vibes, the energy we emit, our boldness, and lastly how smart we are.

That’s all she wrote today
Hers.
